Story  Overview:
After barely surviving a shootout in New Orleans, Sidewinder medic Kelly Abbott has to suffer through a month of recovery before he can return home to Colorado. He’s not surprised when fellow Sidewinder Nick O’Flaherty stays with him in New Orleans. Nor is he surprised when Nick travels home with him to help him get back on his feet—after all, years on the same Marine Force Recon team bonded the men in ways that only bleeding for a brother can. He’s very surprised, though, when Nick humors his moment of curiosity and kisses him.

Nick knows all of Kelly’s quirks and caprices, so the kiss was a low-risk move on his part . . . or so he thought. But what should’ve been a simple moment unleashes a flood of confusing emotions and urges that neither man is prepared to address.

Now, Kelly and Nick must figure out what they mean to each other—friends and brothers in arms, or something even deeper?—before the past can come back to ruin their tenuous future.

My Review:
Without a doubt, this was one of the hottest, most romantic, best m/m stories I have ever read. I am a huge fan of the Cut & Run series so I knew both these characters before this, so that may make this book work even more for me. This is a beautifully told friends to lovers or gay for you romance.

Kelly has never been gay. Never. Never even had an inkling that direction. He's always been with and enjoyed women, but when his best friend Nick came out a year ago, it threw him for a loop. Almost dying for Nick threw him for another one and now the curiosity won't let him go. He's looking at his best friend differently and isn't sure what to do with that. Now Nick is taking care of him after he's come home from the hospital, he's doped up on some powerful pain medications, and the filter is gone. And things get INCREDIBLY HOT from there. Oh my!!

But it's not just about the exploration. This book is about two friends that love each other desperately and not in a sexual way. Kelly threw himself in front of a bullet that would have killed Nick and it almost killed Kelly. They are soulmates in so many more ways than just physical. They know each other...their flaws, their problems, and they call each other on their crap when one or the other starts to pull back. They know what the other is thinking all the time. They are perfect together in every single way. This story is one of those that was just perfect...seriously. Perfect chemistry. Perfect everything. I love Kelly and Nick together.

The story is amazing, gorgeous, so freaking romantic (the quotes you could pull out of this, these guys have some lines to melt your heart), and it's HOT! I highly, highly recommend it and cannot wait for the next one!!! Come on, Abigail Roux, write faster.....
