Story Overview:
After months of no work, interdimensional bounty hunter Ronin Meyers jumps at the chance to locate an incubus who’s using succubi as murder weapons. Faced with the possibility of being forced to return to hellish Infernum if he fails, Ronin and his brothers will stop at nothing to take out the incubus and anyone else involved—even the beautiful succubus who stole his heart, then nearly his life, during the most mind-blowing hour of his existence.

Night after night, Amara and her fellow succubi are forced to extract special abilities from the strongest Otherworlders for their psychotic master’s growing collection. When the gorgeous angel-demon hybrid she believed to be dead captures her, Amara is both stunned and elated. But the happily ever after she’s dreamed of will have to wait. Together, they must bring down the madman hellbent on destroying them… and become each other’s salvation in the process.

My Review:

I have said it before, and I will say it again...I absolutely adore this series. OMG, I love these brothers. I love the world and story that Rosalie has created around them. I just love everything about these books.

This book is about Ronin, the half angel/half demon brother (see, already you are intrigued, aren't you?) When he meets Amara, a succubus demon, she almost kills him, but that doesn't keep him from becoming completely obsessed and intrigued when he meets up with her again.

On her part, Amara is simply in an awful situation with no hope for escape. She is stuck doing what she has to do, which means sex with men to kill and drain them, at the whim of the man who has control of her life, Asmodeus.

This is another book filled with intrigue and suspense. At the heart of it all are these four brothers who are enforcers for the council. Beyond that, they are there to support each other's backs and work for the side of right. Two of the brothers have already found their mates, Blood of the Demon & Mark of the Sylph, but they are still working to keep things right in the world.

The story in this book really resonated with my angst-y loving soul because the relationship between Ronin and Amara is so impossible. If they have sex, he dies and she needs sex to live. They are in a huge Catch 22 with no happy ending in sight. There is DEFINITELY some conflict happening here and it creates for some amazing sexual chemistry and tension. And both of these characters have some emotional scars (have I mentioned before that I love angst??) Ronin especially has vowed to never love anyone again after his father tore him from his family at age 9. He has vowed never to put himself in a position where he can feel that kind of loss ever again.

This book is another FABULOUS installment to the series. First, these books are centered around four brothers with an amazing relationship. They will do anything to protect one another. Second, this particular book has a wonderfully impossible romantic story. The way that Rosalie wrote the PERFECT! I am reading Cressos' short story next...OMG, LOVE that incubus and what he did for Ronin and Amara. Third, the books are riveting and entertaining. A wonderfully complex world  that doesn't get so caught up in a ll the creative details. It's complex, but never boring or too much to understand what is happening.

3. Touch of an Angel (A- rating)
3.5 Heart of the Incubus (A- rating) review will be up later today
