Story Overview:
Banished from Olympus with orders to restore love to the world, Eros starts with a match no one sees coming. No one but him.

Straight-laced principal Kira isn’t looking for love, especially not right after getting dumped. Then a chance encounter leads her to Jesse, and damned if she isn’t drawn to the bad-boy with a heart of gold. A night of reckless abandon leaves her confused. Was there something there, or did she imagine the connection between them?

Jesse knows lying to Kira is a mistake, but she’s the first woman in a long time to see the man and not just the rock star. When his plan to come clean goes terribly wrong, Kira bolts, leaving Jesse in the dust.

Now Eros has to nudge the star-crossed lovers together and prove to Zeus that love does exist, even among the gun shy.

My Review:
I picked up this book because of a review of it that Julie (Yummy Men & Kick-Ass Chicks) posted. It was a great recommendation. This is a short little read. Perfect for one of those nights where you only have an hour or so to read (which was the case for me, Thursday night.) It has a fabulous premise...Aros (aka: Cupid) has been too busy goofing off and the state of love in the world has suffered. As a result, Zeus has kicked him out of Olympus and banished him to earth to prove that love can be saved, even in the most unlikely of couples.

That's where Kira & Jesse come in. Kira has just been dumped on the fairway of the pier when she runs into Jesse. She is a high school principal, but she isn't up on her music so she doesn't realize that Jesse is part of one of the hottest rock groups around. She just knows that he's plain HOT. Their chemistry is pretty immediate (it's a short novel, so things move pretty fast) and they have a fabulous night together, although Jesse leaves without letting Kira know the truth about him. I am not going to tell you the whole story, because it is definitely worth reading for yourself.

I did really just enjoy this one. Kira's pretty straight-laced and can't imagine that Jesse can really be interested in her when he has all the fangirls constantly throwing themselves at him. BUT he is interested. They both have been deeply affected by their one evening together. It's a really romantic read. It's short, but amazingly enough, there is enough depth here to be satisfying. The characters are likable and well-thought-out. I loved Jesse and his persistence. Just a really nice little romantic read! Gotta love a sexy rock-star!!
