My Review:
I read this book a couple of weeks ago. In fact, I read it immediately after Destiny Calls because I loved that book so much. This one is actually the book BEFORE Destiny Calls although they actually are following the same timeline, which is kind of interesting. If you plan to read them both, I do recommend that you read them in order, although it is definitely not necessary to read both of them to be able to enjoy either book. They are BOTH very good and stand up well on their own.

This book is about a triad relationship. The book starts with Philip & Grace, who are in a committed heterosexual relationship together. Grace works at Mark's restaurant. Mark is bi-sexual and deeply attracted to both Grace & Phillip. All three are friends. When Mark's restaurant is vandalized, no one realizes why, but they know that the restaurant is vulnerable and is going to take a lot of hours to fix over the weekend. Since Phillip & Grace live just a couple of blocks away from the restaurant, they offer to let Mark bunk at their place for the weekend and things heat up from there.

I love the way that Samantha writes. She can write sexual tension and explicit scenes so incredibly well. We are talking scorching HOT! But that doesn't mean that the romance isn't there too, because it absolutely is. Mark's character is one that is all about charisma. Everyone is drawn to him, but he's in a vulnerable position in this book. His baby, the restaurant, is being attacked...and he is being introduced into this new relationship that is already established for the other two members. There is an amount of uncertainty there that really endears him as a character. Then there is Phillip. I liked him & Grace...a LOT! He's always been very staid and very "missionary" in the bedroom (much to Grace's dissatisfaction, although she has never let him know that) but from the very beginning of this book, he is branching out and letting go of his reserve. I really liked that this is not the norm for him, but he is totally open to changing things.

The other facet to this book that I loved was the suspense. The vandalism continues and escalates and no one can figure out why. They just know that the three of them are being targeted and that there is strength in numbers...which complements the story line so incredibly well. ;o)

Overall, this was really just a fabulously HOT, wonderful read. I HIGHLY recommend Samantha Wayland. She has an incredible writing talent and I can't wait to see where she goes from here!!
