Story Overview:
Half-demon Taeg is desperate to free his pregnant sister-in-law, who is spellbound to an indestructible book that will create an army of the undead. He is convinced that an ancient sword can destroy the book and the spell forever, but this relic has been hidden for millennia by a powerful glamour. The clock begins to run out on his search when an old rival goes after the book and Teag's family in his quest for revenge.

Librarian Maya Flores has a secret: she's immune to magic and is well aware of the supernatural beings prowling the streets of New York City. Haunted by a brutal demon attack that took her family, she is on a one-woman mission to destroy the evil demons who did it and any others who get in her way.

Maya is Taeg's best hope for uncovering the sword. Unfortunately, she wants nothing more than to kill him. As he fights for her trust and to save his family, she is forced to face the truth that not all demons are evil. And the worst part? She might be falling in love with one, too.

My Review:
This is book #2 in the Demons of Infernum series. My review of book #1, Blood of the Demon, can be seen HERE. I really enjoyed book #1, but OMG, I think that this one was even better. This world is so incredible and thorough and the four brothers are nothing short of fabulous. I adore how close they are without being all up in each other's business. I also really love how committed they are to their women by extension. This is a close-knit group of brothers and I love it when there is that relationship like this between guys in a book.

Love, LoVe, LOVE Taeg!! The absolute best thing about this book...his t-shirts. Everyday when he gets dressed, it is an adventure to see what his next shirt is going to say. I am dying to know if Rosalie made these up. If so, she seriously needs to start up a graphic tee business!!! Some examples of what they say:
Need a Job...Will Work for Orgasms
Real Men Don't Follow Directions
Awesome in Bed. I Can Sleep for Hours.
I love how even when Maya was terrified of him, the tee's helped her to laugh a little and maybe lighten up a little bit. And Maya is terrified of him. When she was 10 yo, her entire family was slaughtered by 2 demons. All she knows is that demons are evil and she has committed her life to ridding the world of them.

As such, Maya is one serious kick-ass chick!! She is tough. She is trained. She does not get intimidated, even when she is scared to death. She keeps two knives in the tops of her boots and another strapped around her torso. Demons are stronger than humans, but in her initial contacts with Taeg, she more than holds her own. She doesn't best him, but she does do some damage. This also shows what an incredible guy Taeg is...he is taking some serious hits from Maya and he never gets aggressive with her or even mad. He just laughs it all off and continues to try not to hurt her. He is honestly a real sweetheart.

In this book, the search is on for Excalibur (yes, Arthur's sword) and Maya is the key to finding it. It is rumored to be hidden by a very strong glamour, but Maya can see through glamours. At issue, she doesn't trust demons...any demons, but Taeg is quickly on his way of showing her what good guys they can actually be. There is definitely adventure in this book, but I liked that the majority of the book is really about Maya & Taeg and the development of their relationship. The bad guy is in the background, but really doesn't become an issue until the climax of the book. This book is a true romance between two incredible people that, as a reader, you can't help but to fall in love with and cheer along as they begin to connect.

Just like I loved Brynn & Keegan, I truly loved Maya & Taeg. These brothers have such a heartbreaking story, but they are such truly good guys. I am so excited about the upcoming stories featuring Dagan & Ronin. According to Rosalie's website, there are at least three more projects coming for this series:
*Touch of the Angel (book #3)
*Heart of the Incubus (novella)
*Call of the Siren (book #4)
I am so excited. I really, truly love this series!!!
