Story Overview:
My childhood was perfect.

I’ve led a charmed life, and I’m not going to blow it now by picking the wrong guy.

I’ve got my sights set on my brother’s best friend.

He’s known my family for years. He’s reliable and kind and handsome.

Sure, he’s been avoiding me since I was six.

I’m a bit aggressive for him, maybe.

But he’s the one… right?
My Review:

I'll admit it, after reading book #1 I wasn't sure I would be able to handle Ellery as a heroine in her own novel. She was so...so much...obsessed, compulsive, focused (and not in a good way) on the guy that she was sure she was meant to be with. Well, guess what? That's not who her hero is...and I loved that because suddenly all her scheming and plans are derailed. Ellery is off-balance and that's the perfect way for her to be.

And I don't know what else to say because I don't want to spoil any of the book. Suffice it to say, Sawyer is PERFECT for her. This is another May/December romance, but I loved it once again. While Ellery isn't the obvious choice for him, they are so RIGHT together.

It was a fun book. Unlike the heroine in the first book, Ellery is one of the most self-confident characters I've ever read. She's sure she's right about everything, even if she has to bluff her way through, so there weren't the comedic, awkward moments like in the first book, but there were plenty of humor in this story. The same characters are there and many of the events from the first book overlap with the events in this one, so it's fun to see it all happening from another perspective.

I liked the book and like with the first one, would definitely recommend it. Also, the audiobooks of this entire series are awesome. HIGHLY recommend.
