Story Overview:
They’re serving up some red-hot revenge. A sizzling series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel van Dyken.
Blaire has never quite gotten over Jessie Beckett, the ex–NFL star whose kisses were hot enough to ignite the entire Eastern Seaboard. When he chose work over her, Blaire was left brokenhearted. Why else would she have married a skeezy two-timer, just to divorce him less than a year later?
Now Blaire is getting even by becoming one half of Dirty Exes, a PI firm fully committed to humiliating cheating jerks. If only the new jerk she’s been hired to uncover wasn’t Jessie Beckett himself.
Exposing Jessie isn’t going to be easy, especially when she still daydreams about his sexy smile. Further complicating matters is Colin, Jessie’s best friend. He’s gorgeous, a little bit cunning, and willing to help Blaire get the inside scoop on Jessie—for a price.
Now caught between two men—one totally right and the other totally wrong—Blaire will need to decide just how much she’s willing to risk…and whom she’s willing to risk it for.
My Review:
It's been a long time since I read a love triangle story. While I've never been a huge fan of the trope, this one worked for me. (It helped that it was fairly obvious to the reader who was the right guy pretty early in the story...based upon his actions, not the heroine playing wishy-washy with two guys, which I hate.)

The whole basis of this series is interesting. After both Isla and Blaire discovered their partners cheating on them the same night, they formed a private investigation agency. Not only do they track down cheaters, but then they humiliate them in front of as many people as possible via live Facebook. Justice is served. To say these girls are man-haters is probably putting it nicely. They don't trust any man as far as they can throw them.

For Blaire, her cheater was her husband who cheated with her best friend. But after it was all said and done, she could be honest that she'd never really given him a chance. Her husband was the safe guy after Jessie shattered her heart. Jessie was definitely the one who got away...the perfect guy on the pedestal. Colin is his best friend who sees Jessie in a more realistic light and is helping Blaire in her quest for finding out if Jessie is cheating on his wife. Oh, yeah...did I forget to mention that? Jessie's in the middle of what promises to be a messy divorce. There are a LOT of layers to this story.

And like I mentioned before, it worked for me. At first, it is really difficult to tell who the right guy is. Jessie is the dream guy, but Colin is the guy driving her nuts...can we say sexual tension? They both have their good qualities, but as the story evolves there are little hints of which way Blaire should go with her choice...

But I'm not going to say any more because I don't want to ruin the story. If you like Rachel Van Dyken, you'll like this one. If you like love triangles, you'll love this one. I'd definitely recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy in return for an honest, voluntary review.
