Story Overview:
Being a bear in cat territory isn’t easy, but Ivan Hearne is determined to put his best foot forward and show the people of Oak Haven that bear shifters aren’t the rampaging beasts everyone believes them out to be. Scouting the perfect location for the restaurant his clan plans on opening gives him reason to wander around town and show everyone just how non-threatening his people can be.

And if he happens to meet a beautiful, tongue-tied hybrid who bakes the best salmon biscuits he’d ever tasted, that’s just one of the perks.

Convincing the shy beauty to give him a chance is Ivan’s new mission in life. Showing her she’s the treasure he believes her to be is a task he’s glad to focus on.

Introducing her to his clan? That’s when things start getting hairy.
My Review:
This entire series has been great. In this book, we have huge, sweet Ivan...a bear shifter... paired up with feisty, yet shy Callie...a big cat shifter. Ivan has been brought into the cat pride area to do clan work. As a bit of an outcast, Ivan feels oversized and awkward everywhere he goes. But sweet, quiet Callie makes him feel accepted. She never speaks to him, but he's intrigued by her.

What's great about this story is that at the beginning, Callie is this quiet, meek little thing afraid to speak. By the end she's undergone a great metamorphosis, spurred on purely by the extreme attraction between her and Ivan. They are really good and explosive together.

The story is both extremely sexy and really sweet. The romance between the two is fast...hello, shifters. But there are these cute little moments between them that just melted my heart.

I liked them together. It's definitely not the most expected pairing, but the author makes it work extremely well. I enjoyed the I have ALL the books in the series. You can read any of them as stand alone reads, but they're short little morsels of sexiness, so I recommend you grab them all.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
