Story Overview:
A new kind of love story about flipping houses, taking risks, and landing that special someone who’s move-in ready…

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in The Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous, but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she inadvertently catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off…

Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance — without burning down the house?

I FLIPPING LOVE YOU, set in the Shacking Up world, follows two people, both working in real estate, who find themselves vying for the same properties in the Hamptons, leading to a sometimes-not-so-friendly competition.
My Review:
I read this book over several days (busy time of the year) so I feel like I didn't get quite as much out of it as I'd hoped, because that first day reading it, I was in love with the story. It was sassy and fresh and I loved the snappy dialogue between Pierce and Rian.

In fact, I just love Rian. She's dealing with a lot in the book...although as I type that, it occurs to me that Pierce definitely is, too. They're very similar in that they have 'trying' siblings. Both these characters expect things to go a certain way and don't like uncertainty...something that their siblings thrive on.

Rian and her twin sister are real estate agents in the Hamptons. They're also trying to get into the flipping market. Pierce and his brother ARE flipping houses in the market. They have lots of money and the capital to do it right. But flipping isn't Pierce's normal job. He's really a patent lawyer, who's taking the summer off after screwing up a big thing in his family business that they're still trying to sort out. But for Pierce, flipping is the thing he loves...his passion...at least until he meets Rian and then he finds himself obsessed with something else.

Like I said, it was a quippy, fun novel. There is a ton of snark to Rian and she hits Pierce with it relentlessly at the beginning of the book despite their incredible chemistry...actually because of that chemistry...she's trying desperately to ignore it and him. But Pierce is pretty relentless himself and doesn't let her reluctance push him away at all. In fact, he views her as a challenge.

This was a fun read. It was entertaining and the beach setting would make it a great summer read...lots of fun, scenic ambiance in this one. Although part of a series (which honestly I was surprised at when I started this review), this is most definitely a stand-alone book. I didn't guess it was part of a series at all!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
