BACK IN THE SADDLE. STRAIGHT TO THE HEART. . .

At the Ford family ranch, getting thrown from a horseis a part of growing up. But one cowboy is still learning the ropes when it comes to falling in love.

Tanner Ford has been riding bulls and busting broncos his entire life. So when he takes a hard spill—and sustains serious injuries—he refuses to believe his rodeo days are behind him. He’s determined to restore his body and revive his career. There’s just one problem: the finest physical therapist in town just happens to be the only woman he’s ever loved.

Lauren Lewis knows she made a huge mistake when she walked away from Tanner. But she was young, ambitious, and focused on her medical career. Now, after all these years, Tanner’s back—and, in spite of his injuries, looking better than she allows herself to admit. She agrees to work on Tanner’s big bruised muscles until he’s back in bull-riding shape again. But how can Lauren resist the smoldering attraction between her and her old flame. . .and find a way to live without him?
My Review:
This was my first time reading Soraya Lane, but it definitely won't be my last. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Full disclaimer...I'm a HUGE SUCKER for a wounded hero and three weeks before the book begins, Tanner was in a horrific accident where a bull won. He's not in good condition, but that sets up this story beautifully.

Second disclaimer...I love second chance at love stories...and this is definitely one of those. When the two were eighteen and on the cusp of heading to college, Lauren dumped Tanner with no warning. He never understood it and it took him so completely by surprise, he never really recovered. But neither did Lauren, because it was definitely not something she would have chosen to do...but she had no choice in the matter.

But in the present day, Lauren is a world class physical trainer, so she's the perfect person to rehab Tanner. His sister bribes his way into Lauren's Fijian vacation...and we have the perfect setup for a rekindling between these two.

Like I said, I really enjoyed the book. There's some incredible chemistry between the two...alongside the conflict of all those hurt feelings from before. They're also in Fiji, so you can't top the romantic, beautiful ambience that sets up the book.

Overall, I just enjoyed everything about this book. It wasn't super-deep emotionally, but I enjoyed every minute of reading the book. Like I mentioned before, I will definitely be reading this author again.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
