Story Overview:

From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE romance novel.

I’m not a one-night stand kind of woman. I’m especially not the woman who has a few drinks at a concert and ends up in bed with my childhood celebrity crush, Eli Walsh.

However, that’s exactly where I find myself.

What’s a girl to do after a drunken mistake? Run. I grab my clothes and get away from the powerful, irresistible, and best-sex-of-my-life superstar as fast as I can. His gorgeous green eyes, rock-hard body, and cocky smile have no place in my world. My life is complicated enough.

Someone forgot to tell him that.

Eli is relentless. Pushing his way into my heart, wearing me down, proving he’s nothing like I assumed, and everything I need. But when my world shatters to pieces, he holds the broken bits together. Unwillingly, I fall desperately in love with him.

He made me think we’d have forever . . . I should’ve listened when he said we could only own tonight.

My Review:

Overall: 4.5
Performance: 5.0
Story: 4.25

Wow, I loved this story so much. I really like the premise of the forty-something boy band members and the women who have been their lifetime fans. It was such a fun premise and so unexpected for a 38 yo heroine and 42 yo hero. I loved that.

I loved that Eli is all-in. For the first time in his life, he's actively pursuing a woman and she has the gall to tell him no. LOL. I loved that about Heather. But I also just really loved Heather. She's a cop and her life is pretty crazy. She certainly doesn't need the added crazy that a member of a boy band and moviestar will bring to her life. The sex was hotter than anything, but she doesn't want a repeat. Eli has to work to convince her and I loved that.

But the whole story line with Heather's sister was creative, too. And right here...HUGE KUDOS to Andi Arndt's narration for Heather's sister...she did an astoundingly fabulous job with her sister's physical handicaps and making that come through her inflections...simply wonderful!

Everything about this book was phenomenal. I loved the story and the narration of the audiobook was fantastic. I love this narrator duo. They are easily one of my favorites in the audiobook world, but they went above and beyond on this audiobook. I highly recommend it!
