Story Overview:
After personal assistant Kiersten Abbott wins sixty-nine million dollars in the lotto, she suddenly has more than enough money to quit her impossibly demanding job. But where’s the fun in that? She decides to stay and exact a little revenge on her insufferable ass of a boss.

Billionaire Cole Harrington quickly figures out something’s afoot with his usually agreeable personal assistant. When he finds out about the office pool betting on how long it’ll take him to fire her, he decides to spice things up and see how far he can push her until she quits.

The game is on, with everyone waiting to see who will crack first. But the bet sparks a new dynamic between them, and soon they realize they just might have crossed that fine line between hate and love.
My Review:
This book was completely as laugh out loud funny as one would expect from that story description. Seriously, it's been a long time since I've had this much fun reading a book. It was hilarious and so entertaining and creative. I absolutely loved this story!

The story starts with Kiersten as assistant to Cole's assistant. When he insists that his assistant cancel her wedding to attend to his needs, she quits which gives Kiersten the promotion to his primary assistant. The book then jumps six months later. Six months when Kiersten has been at Cole's beck and call 24/7. She anticipates his needs before he even knows them. She's an amazing assistant and she grits her teeth and puts up with Cole, because it's a good job...even though she hates it.

But that all changes when she and her roommates win the lottery. Then things get hilariously funny. There's a company-wide bet going on...who's going to break first? Will Kiersten quit or will Cole fire her? Neither one of them are willing to give in.

Seriously, I completely and totally fell in love with this story. I never knew what prank Kiersten could possibly come up with next and there were moments in the story where I was literally rolling...Harry and Krispin come to mind.

The book is fun. The characters are completely engaging and funny. I wasn't sure that the author was going to be able to pull off making Cole a likeable hero, but she did it, and dang...these two are sexy together.

This was my first time reading Kira Archer, but it definitely won't be my last. I highly, highly, highly recommend this book. And it should be noted that I usually don't enjoy reading romantic comedy all that much, but I adored this story. It's in the running for my top 10 reads for the year. Yes, it was that good!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review, but then bought a print copy to put on my keeper shelf.
