Story Overview:
When Jane Merrifield hears about the Grease-themed week at Camp Firefly Falls, she can’t sign up fast enough. The list of camp activities reads like her ideal vacation and she expects campfire sing-alongs, pajama parties, and hand-jive contests. What she doesn’t expect is to come face to face with the guy who broke her heart when she was seventeen.

Booth MacDonald is one of the top goalies in the NHL, in part because he’s able to move past his mistakes and focus on the moment, but breaking up with Jane is the one mistake he’s never been able to put behind him. He needs a second chance and if that means he has to submit to a makeover orchestrated by the all-male Pink Ladies so he can sing and dance like a prize idiot, so be it, because he and Jane belong together—chang chang changitty chang she bop, wah-oooh, yeah.

This book is a standalone set within the Camp Firefly Falls world. It features characters from Kate Willoughby's In the Zone hockey romance world.
My Review:

Okay, first things first...this book is listed as part of a series, but it's not really a series book. It's more of a "world" book. You absolutely do not have to read any of the other books in this series to enjoy this book. The only thing that ties them together is this camp...which is just the setting. The story ties more to Kate Willoughby's Barracuda series, but you can easily read this book as a stand-alone.

And I will tell you right now...this book is the PERFECT summer read! OMG, the story is so much fun. (Note: I totally want to go to a camp for adults now!)

Booth and Jane were high school sweethearts, but they were young and immature, so when Booth's friends started making fun of him for liking Jane, he caved to peer pressure and broke Jane's heart. That was 11 years ago and neither Jane nor Booth have ever forgotten the other. For Booth, she's his one regret. For Jane, he's the thing that pushed her to find a better version of herself. She wasn't going to let one boy's bad opinion of her pull her down. She just never knew that bad opinion was the false one. Booth really loved her.

So, when they meet again, Booth has to work extra to get Jane to even agree to having coffee with him, despite the fact he's a starting NHL goalie now. I loved that about her. In fact, I loved pretty much everything about her. I loved her blog and how she uses it to empower women. I love the idea of her lingerie line and I loved her fun passion for Grease, the movie.

And then there's Booth. I love that he truly finds her sexy. He likes a woman with curves and isn't going to apologize for that ever again. To him, Jane is his ideal woman, and he's willing to prove it with his actions.

This book was everything. It was fun and sassy, romantic and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed it and think you will, too. I highly recommend it!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
