Story Overview:
Hollywood hath no fury like a woman scorned. In this fun, flirty second-chance romance from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett, an aspiring starlet reconnects with her first love.

Eden Goodnight went to Los Angeles to make it big, not to be publicly humiliated by her cheating fiancé at a red-carpet premiere. But when Eden returns to her hometown to put the scandal behind her, she can barely find a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. Turns out the locals are worse than the paparazzi, and they all think she’s turned into a spoiled brat. But in a strange twist of fate, the one person who seems to understand what Eden’s going through is Cooper Mayfield . . . the boy she left behind.

Small-town charm is no match for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. At least that’s what Coop’s been telling himself all these years. As Eden’s old flame—and the landscaper for her family’s historic home—Coop feels some responsibility for getting her out of her funk. But as soon as he sees that million-dollar smile, he’s a goner. Soon they’re making out like teenagers again. But when a life-changing role falls into Eden’s lap, Coop just hopes she doesn’t give up on a love that’s meant to be.
My Review:
Overall, this was an extremely enjoyable book. This is a second chance at love story. Fourteen years ago Eden and Cooper were high school sweethearts. But then when they were in college, she was discovered by a modeling scout. Her career took off very quickly and soon she had to drop out of college. She was jet-setting around the world and eventually it became to difficult for them to maintain their relationship. They broke up although it shattered both of them, but they agreed it was the best thing to do.

But now it's fourteen years later and Eden was just jilted and humiliated on the red carpet by her fiance. She's home for the first time in fourteen years to hide out and lick her wounds. Unfortunately when her grandmother died, Eden didn't pay attention to the details of the will that said she left her mansion to both Eden and her high school ex. Neither is giving in, so they end up living together.

It doesn't take long for this book to get hot and heavy. And I have to admit, I really loved Eden and Coop hot and heavy together. The book is most definitely erotically sexy, and I thoroughly loved it for that. There's a lot of sex, but there's also a really good story behind all that, too. Neither of these characters have had true happiness since they separated. Yes, they both have very good lives, but as they spend more and more time together, they begin to realize just how much happiness they've missed out on by being apart all these years.

This was a fabulous book. Nothing about the story was anything new in the trope, but it was presented in such a way that made it happy to read it. I definitely recommend the book, but be warned...there is a lot of sex, so you need to like that in your novels.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
