Story Overview:
In the #1 New York Times bestselling Mercy Thompson novels, the coyote shapeshifter has found her voice in the werewolf pack. But when Mercy's bond with the pack and her mate is broken, she'll learn what it truly means to be alone...

Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise.
My Review:
The absolute best thing about this book...it switches POV between Mercy and Adam. OMG, when I realized it would be doing that I literally fan-girl squeed out loud. But the reason for that is because Adam and Mercy are not in touch throughout almost all of the book...and gah...the emotion that the author managed to convey through the story over that pain was incredible.

And even though they aren't together, this book featured all the things I adore about this series. The relationship and trust between Mercy and Adam just gets stronger and deeper. I love that about this series. Although his wolf hates letting her loose in the world, the man respects her enough to do it anyway. They are truly one of the best, romantic couples in romance today. And Mercy is freaking tough here. She's coming more and more into "who" she is and trusting her instincts. Everything about her life is against her in this book, but in true Mercy fashion...she overcomes and saves herself. I love that!

And then there are all the "friends" who come together to save her...even though in the end, she doesn't need it. Mercy and Adam are incredible and that's brought some incredible friends that they can count on into their sphere of influence. I just flat-out enjoyed this book. It's definitely been one of my favorite installments in the series. Lots of emotion and action. I couldn't turn the pages on my kindle fast enough. The book was absolutely fantastic!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
