Story Overview:
There was a time when Jake Becker had it all together. He was controlled, driven, ruthless—in and out of the courtroom.

Then, six irresistible orphans and their heartbreakingly beautiful aunt crashed into his perfectly ordered life. They changed everything. They changed him. Now he’s a husband, an upstanding member of society, a father figure—a family man. And he’s pretty damn good at it.

Sure, he has to referee sibling smackdowns, re-learn algebra, ensure his clients stay of jail, and keep his wife happy—but it finally feels like he’s got it together again....

So, of course something has to screw it all up. It’s huge. Life-changing. Kind of terrifying.

And it will be the most amazing, perfect thing he’ll ever do.

My Review:
Overall: 5.0
Performance: 5.0
Story: 4.75

Hands down...this was the best novella I have ever, ever read. It's short...and yes, it follows on as an added bonus to the original story, but OMG, it was so well done. The audiobook was just over 2 hours, but it felt like a book that had 10 hours worth of build up because this is a thorough complete story...and OMG, did I mention just how good it was?

This is the followup to Sustained (which coincidentally was also an A+ rated book) can find that review HERE. This book was the perfect follow-up to that great book. It continued the story of Jake and Chelsea and gave glimpses of all six kids as they face a new transition in their lives. The novella covers a full year and was so full of epic greatness. If you loved their first book, you HAVE TO READ THIS ONE TOO. If you haven't read Sustained, I highly recommend you go grab it now and devour it...and then read this one. The entire series is fabulous, but all the books work as stand-alones from the original full-length novels. For this one, do yourself a favor and read Sustained first.  You won't regret it.

Note: I love Sebastion York as a narrator and discovered this book when I was searching audible for his narrations. This book is told entirely from Jackson's POV (another huge bonus) and Sebastion York rocked it. There are six kids in this story and he rocks all the different voices and inflections!!
