My Review:
As a whole, this was a good book. Why it was separated into two installments rather than one? I have no clue...except maybe the publisher trying to make more money, which doesn't quite sit right with me. But if it's just because the publisher is trying to find new readers for Laura Griffin...well, I can approve of that, because the woman knows how to weave a great story.

That being said...the first installment of this book was perfection. There was tons of danger, action, and romance. This second half didn't quite live up to the expectations set by the first. Don't get me wrong...I still thoroughly enjoyed it, but the suspense and feeling of imminent danger just wasn't as present in this side of the story.

The other thing about this ends with a happy-for-now after a so-so (and actually pretty easy compared to everything leading up to it) ending to the suspense story. I really hoped for more. But I loved Emma, and Ryan was an incredibly sexy and capable alpha male. I'm hoping that they get more of a story later in one of the full-length novels.

But this two novella series does set up a great scenario for the whole series. I'm ready for more of the Alpha Crew.
I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
