Now she has to live and work with the guy. But when they’re in the air, she sees another side of him. He’s driven, focused, and sharp. And while he enjoys giving commentary on her blind dates, she quickly realizes with a shock that it’s Parker who gets her engines going…My Review:
I've never had a book make me want to go out and get two kittens like this book did. LOL. And Bonnie and Clyde were just the tip of the fun inside this story.
There are little details about these characters that I love that really make the story. Parker is a law enforcement officer who tracks down big-game poachers. He's on vacation because his last investigation left another investigator dead and Parker injured. The real issue with that is the guy he was investigating got away and Parker refuses to let the case go. That brings him to Idaho.
Zoe is a private pilot and she is one tough chick. She basically raised her two siblings, but after they both found love, now she's dealing with a bit of empty nest syndrome. Although she's trying to fix that by going on a series of dates. It's time for her to find The One too...or at least someone who can give her the next best thing....a Big O. And then Parker moves in.
Like all Jill Shalvis books, this is a heart-warming, easy read with tons of happy moments, and a few sad ones too. Jill writes sexy, sassy romance in just the best way. There are some GREAT scenes in this book. One of them is the football scene...I seriously love Jill Shalvis' alpha, tough-guy heroes and they are at their best when they get competitive. But it's really the one-on-one scenes where the chemistry is blazing between Parker and Zoe that this book shines. Whoa, these two are so HOT together. I really do love them. Zoe is a bit awkward, but so honest about it that I couldn't help but fall in love with her. And i love how Parker is just so flabbergasted and overwhelmed by her. He has no idea how to take her, but she intrigues him for just that reason. She's different and he falls in love with her for those differences.
For both these characters, their siblings are so important to them. They have very different relationships with them, but for both of them those relationships are HUGE in their lives. I loved that about them. I enjoyed so many little things about this book, but mainly the romance...oh, and their love for the animals, their sweet pets...Oreo, Bonnie, and Clyde. Those three were such a huge part of this story and added a great depth to the characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
