INTRODUCING SWAT: SPECIAL WOLF ALPHA TEAM
They're tight
They're on target
They're as alpha as men can get.

The Dallas SWAT team is hiding one helluva secret . . . they're a pack of wolf shifters.

The team of elite sharpshooters is ultra-secretive—and also the darlings of Dallas. This doesn't sit well with investigative journalist Mackenzie Stone. They must be hiding something . . . and she's determined to find out what.

Keeping Mac at a distance proves impossible for SWAT team commander Gage Dixon. She's smart, sexy, and makes him feel alive for the first time in years. But she's getting dangerously close to the truth—and perilously close to his heart...

My Review:
What a fantastic start to this new series. I'm sold. A pack of hot alpha wolves who all work together as a elite SWAT team in Dallas, TX...this book is filled with all kinds of awesome!

Gage is the head alpha for this team. He's the one responsible for finding all the men on his team and bringing them together to form this elite team, not realizing just how much the pack bonds would enhance their ability to work. I loved the team and how protective they are of each other and their secret that they are werewolves.

That secret is threatened when Mac shows up. She's an investigative reporter and they know she's trying to trip them up. To further complicate things, they can all sense how drawn to her Gage is and now they don't trust him to protect them like he should. How can he think with his head when his dick is leading him around behind Mac?

This book sets up the series perfectly as it introduces all the team since Gage is the head alpha. They are all alphas, but there is still a hierarchy to that. Watching these guys do their job was incredibly hot. They simply don't shrink away from danger of any sort and I loved the fact about how growly they all become when on a mission...too fun. But they become growly when other things are going on too...Gage...wow, this guy is so sexy and hot when he is turned on. Wow!

They've all heard the rumors of werewolves finding The One, but since that hasn't happened for any of them, very few of them (including Gage) believe in that anymore. But with his extreme reactions to her, the doubts begin. I also really liked the twist that Xander is a huge believer in the idea of The One, and truly thinks that Mac is It for Gage. BUT that makes him even more leery of their relationship instead of being all for it like you would expect. He recognizes that she has a much stronger ability to hurt him deeply and that worries Xander.

This book was great. It had the perfect mix of romance, action, and intrigue and I was hooked from page one. There was NEVER a point in the book where I was bored or willing to set it down. It was simply a great read and I can't wait for more from the SWAT team!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
