Story Overview:
Minnesota Christmas, Book 2

Arthur Anderson doesn’t want anything to do with love and romance, and he certainly doesn’t want to play Santa in his mother’s library fundraising scheme. He knows full well what she really wants is to hook him up with the town’s lanky, prissy librarian.

It’s clear Gabriel Higgins doesn’t want him, either—as a Santa, as a boyfriend, as anyone at all. But when Arthur’s efforts to wiggle out of the fundraiser lead to getting to know the man behind the storytime idol, he can’t help but be charmed. The least he can do is be neighborly and help Gabriel find a few local friends.

As their fiery arguments strike hotter sparks, two men who insist they don’t date wind up doing an awful lot of dating. And it looks like the sleigh they both tried not to board could send them jingling all the way to happily ever after.

Warning: Contains a feisty librarian, a boorish bear, small town politics, deer sausage, and a boy who wants a doll.

My Review:
This book was so good, but I will admit that it completely surprised me several times...left me in tears several times...and left me smiling most the time. What a great book!! It completely surpassed what I expected from it.

This book is about an unlikely couple. Before they actually talk, they honestly don't even like the idea of the other. Gabriel is the town librarian. Arthur hates books and grew up having nightmares about the library. Arthur is a big, alpha bear that intimidates Gabriel. But when they get together it quickly becomes evident that they are truly combustible. Who would have guessed this was a book where a safeword would be needed...wowzer, but no worries for those of you that don't enjoy bdsm...after that first scene, the sex in this book is actually pretty mild and a lot of it takes place off the page.

But they are so good with each other...once they get over their initial hatred of one another, but then they both have to work through their relationship issues. Neither ever expected to EVER find a forever kind of love. As a result, they are both pretty resistant to the idea. But it was Gabriel and his quiet moments with Gabriel's family that absolutely broke my heart. I think I teared up or cried throughout most of the Thanksgiving scene. The book and story is just so beautifully told. Even with the heavy sexual elements, it's a story that is all about family and acceptance and the meaning of the holidays. So gorgeous.

And that's before we even get to the book parts of the story. Gabe is a librarian...he loves books. Arthur does not, but through Gabriel, Arthur discovers books and reasons to love them. Every single one of those scenes where they were discussing books and why they are so important, I was bookmarking and highlighting. For anyone who loves books (and seriously, who among us doesn't),you will LOVE those elements of this story! And the storytime with the baby dolls...sob...I love Gabriel and everything that he stands for and watching Arthur discover all that made this book phenomenal!

I HIGHLY recommend this one. It's sweet. It's romantic. It's sexy. And it has some incredible messages woven into the story. LOVE!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
