Story Overview:
Welcome to Las Vegas, home of the Sin City Collectors. The job description is easy: Bring the offending supernatural in to the Boss and don’t ask any questions.

Feline shifter Claudette Marchon traded life as a showgirl to become a Sin City Collector, giving up the glamour to earn some serious cash in order to buy her own business. Mission accomplished, she now runs a pawn shop specializing in gems and jewelry.

Life is good until a Collection job requiring her specific skill set lures her back in. The Queen of Hearts, a museum-worthy ruby and diamond necklace has been stolen from the Boss’s private collection and she’s his last hope to do what two other Collectors have already failed to do. Bring in the necklace. And the thief.

But gargoyle Jason Tennant isn’t quite the dangerous criminal Claudette expects. In fact, he’s not a thief at all. He’s former Special Ops and being set up by the real mastermind, forcing her to decide between the man she’s falling for and the man she works for. Proving Jason innocent may risk the Boss’s wrath, but Claudette’s heart says it’s a gamble worth taking.

What’s Collected in Vegas, stays in Vegas...

My Review:
This is a new paranormal series being written by a group of authors. This is the second story released and I continue to like the premise of this world (you can see my review of the first release, Aces Wild, HERE.) The basic premise is that when paranormals break the law, they have their own police force, called Collectors. Because paranormals are a bit unusual, they tend to hang out in Vegas so the Vegas Collectors stay very busy.

This book is about a Collector who tried to retire two years ago, but I don't think you ever really can break your connection or loyalties to the Collector network, so Claude is called back in. This former show girl is awesome...I loved how self-assured and tough she is. This is not a girl that you can mess with and she had definite chemistry with Jason. The problem is that he's the guy that she's supposed to be collecting. But she quickly realizes that there is much more to the story than anyone knows.

Jason is a gargoyle and although I know there are a few stories out there that feature these creatures, this is the first one that I remember reading. I loved getting to know a new paranormal creature and let me just say...hmm, I do think I like gargoyles. Jason is an awesome character.

These stories aren't very long. They all feature their own characters and HEA's although some of the characters make cameos in the other stories. But they are great, fun reads. Think paranormal bounty hunters...seriously, I love the premise. So far I've completely enjoyed the two that I've read and am definitely anxious for more from the series.
