Story Overview:
She’s daddy’s little girl…or she would have been, had he known she existed. Cassie Wainwright thought her father—head coach of the Santa Fe Bobcats—ignored her purposefully. Come to find out, he had no clue she’d ever been born.

Now Cassie is determined to meet the man who’s always been missing from her life. Her mother warns her, being the long-lost daughter of a well-known NFL coach won’t be easy, but Cassie’s determined to stick it out. And before her life turns upside down, she wants one more night of fun.

Starting quarterback for the Santa Fe Bobcats, Trey Owens is tired of being in the limelight. Lucky for him, the beautiful brunette he meets at the club isn’t a local. She has no idea who he is…and she’s down to party.

Tomorrow, Cassie will think about her father. Tomorrow, she’ll think about her future. But tonight is for herself and the hottie she found on dance floor. It’s a matchup made in heaven—if only for a night…
My Review:
*happy sigh* I liked this one. It had a great premise. At 28 years old, Cassie never met her father...because he never knew about her. This ultra-conservative family man owns the Santa Fe Bobcats so he's in the spotlight and known for his family values which he preaches above all others. A love child isn't going to go over well. Plus he has two impressionable teenage girls that are ages 14 and 16 that he wants to protect. Ultra-conservative and over-protective with a shrew for a wife, Cassie isn't going into the best of circumstances and since she's living on their property, she has to live by her father's rules for her life...one of which is "no men".

She meets Trey the night before she meets her dad and they connect in such an amazing way. Throughout those first few chapters, I kept a grin on my face because their banter and chemistry was so fun to read. They click in such an amazing way. Cassie isn't a sports girl so she has no idea that Trey is the Bobcats Quarterback. He's so overwhelmed with finding a girl who actually likes him for him and not who he is that he doesn't want to tell her and blow it. So they both are keeping little details quiet...and it take a LOT of the book before those details begin to come out. I loved how deep they were before they really understood just how impossible of a situation they were in.

I also really loved what a geek-nerd Cassie is. The little references and her T-shirts throughout the book were fabulous and so much fun. There is a lot of drama throughout, but the book maintains a light-hearted, fun feel that made it truly pure entertainment to read. I liked it...a whole heck of a lot!

And the story isn't just about Cassie and Trey...there are lots of side-characters who are just as rich in detail. In the middle of all this is Trey's friends, one of which is having a real problem with drinking. Cassie is working hard to connect with her difficult teenage sisters and remote father. It really makes for a wonderful well-rounded book that I absolutely fell in love with. It was a great start to the series and I'm definitely looking forward to more. I've already put book #2 on my wish list.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review... BUT if it comes out in print, I will be buying a print copy for my keeper shelf.
