Story Overview:
A sexy category romance from Entangled’s Brazen imprint…

He’ll own her from the very first touch.

Julie Piper and Reed Lawson have nothing in common. She’s a people-pleasing sorority girl hiding behind her perfect mask. He’s a take-no-prisoners SWAT commander who isolates himself from the world. But when they’re forced together at their friends’ posh destination wedding, one thing is clear—Reed wants Julie more than he wants his next breath. Which is why he’s not about to stand by when she’s dared to seduce another man.

Julie wants neat, tidy sex, so she could get back to what she does best—making everybody else happy. She never expected to slip into a dark bedroom and have her mind blown by rough, demanding hands, and a sinfully filthy mouth—neither of which belong to the best man.

One night should have been all Reed needed to get the blond temptress out of his system, but when one taste is nowhere near enough, he’ll be forced confront the effects of his hellish past. One that may push Julie away forever...just when he realizes he can't live without her.

My Review:
This is an excellent book about opposites attract.

Julie is that girl...the one constantly organizing, thinking of others, in a million places at once and on top of every detail. She has the society-queen persona down to a "T". She's from a rich family with a family company that brews whiskey which she helps to run.

Reed is the opposite. He's from the wrong side of the tracks although he's a good guy. He's a SWAT officer, but he's rough and tattooed and never, EVER does relationships. He's NOT that guy.

But immediately when they meet at this destination wedding in Colorado, sparks fly between the two of them. Reed is one of those guys who sees and observes everything (he's a cop) and he sees that there's much more to Julie than the party persona that she puts out to everyone else. And she gets to him in ways that no one else has ever been able to.

I do love bad-boy stories and this one was great in that the bad boy is such a good guy. I absolutely and totally fell in love with Reed. He cares...so much...and just like Julie realizes, those little things he does for her to show he cares are worth so much more than romantic gestures just because they are so real. Constantly throughout this book, he melted my heart. I love how much he tries to stay away and what an impossibility that becomes simply because he cannot stand to hurt Julie. Definitely the sign of the perfect hero.

And then there was the steamy sex...whoa! I haven't read the final two books in this series yet, but they would be hard-pressed to top Julie and Reed in how sexy they are together. Whoa...talk about panty-melting scenes. This book is hot! And what makes that even better is the sweet moments in between. The book starts out all about the chemistry, but quickly the emotions take over, but that doesn't stop the sizzle from smoking off the page. Just a great all-around book. I loved Julie and Reed together. They are an unlikely couple, but they are so perfect together.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
