Story Overview:
Twenty-two-year-old Alessandro Silva knows that returning to tiny Perch Creek to help his foster mother was the right thing to do. With no degree and a delinquent's reputation, he's lucky to have landed a job waiting tables. But not everyone is happy he's back, and the only thing keeping his move home from being a total bust is his boss's hot brother.

Jaime Winters spent most of his life watching the world go by, first from a series of hospitals and then from behind big stacks of textbooks. Studying is easier than facing the fact that years of heart failure means he's still a virgin at twenty-three. Until the new waiter in his sister's diner awakens desires he'd long ago given up on.

The last thing Alessandro wants is to fall for someone as fragile as Jaime. And Jaime may have a new heart, but he's scared of what giving it to another person would mean. Their no-strings-attached, instructional approach to sex keeps emotion safely at bay, until a secret from Alessandro's past forces them to confront their feelings in the present...

My Review:
Overall, this was just a sweet little read about two guys and their ties to home.

Alessandro was a troubled foster kid. With a bad background, there was one foster family who made a difference in the man he became. He owes them everything so when he finds out that the husband died, he drops his life to go home and help the woman who helped raise him.

Jaime didn't have much of a childhood either, but for other reasons. With a bad heart, he spent his entire childhood fighting for his life. But now he's healthy and ready to live a full life.

And that's where fate intervenes.

Even though they grew up in the same town and school, Jaime and Alessandro never really knew each other back then. But their lives quickly become intertwined when Ale comes back and Jamie tags him as the guy to help him explore his sexuality. But mixed into their sweet and sexy romance is the lingering ties to their backgrounds, especially for Alessandro. That provided some intrigue and suspense to the story line which made for a really exciting read toward the end.

It was a great book with a sweet romance. I definitely enjoyed it and look forward to book #2...these two guys aren't through exploring their relationship and I definitely want to follow along on their journey. I predict this story is going to get better and better.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
