Story Overview:

Levi Ramone entered the gay porn market for one reason, and one reason only–he needed the cash to pay his momma's spiraling gambling debts.

Seven years later, he's a veteran with a reputation as one of Blue Boy Studio's most ruthless tops, and when his boss suggests it's time for a change, he finds himself staring down the barrel of a gun.

Figuratively speaking, at least.

Enter Sonny Valentine, a go-go dancer at Blue's sister club, Silver's. Levi has secretly admired Sonny from afar for years, but there's one problem–he can't stand Sonny and the feeling is entirely mutual. When Levi learns Sonny is to play the third part in a scene he considers his worst nightmare, he figures things can't get any worse.

But when preparations for the scene from hell collide with tragic events in his personal life, he finds his fast growing, red hot attraction to Sonny the one thing left between him and a bullet.

My Review:
I picked this book after devouring the Roads series by the same author and on a recommendation from another reader. Whoa! I loved this story.

This book is set in the video porn world. Levi has worked in that world for a long time and truly that's all it is...a job. He goes in, does his job, gets his paycheck, and leaves....nothing more, nothing less. Levi is a top with a fairly generous package, but that's all he does...top. Because of the way he approaches the job, he's gotten a pretty good reputation for being a ruthless top, but part of that is because he's never in his life bottomed....ever, and is truly not aware of how much prep is involved with making it less painful for the bottom.

The company he works for wants him to do a three-way where he is bottoming and he needs the amazing amount of money too much to turn it down. But it's Sonny, the cocky dancer that he can't stand who finally gets Levi to face what this is going to involve for him.

This is a book full of angst....but you know, it's Garrett Leigh writing it so you should probably expect that. For the guys in this world, they accept what they do and don't worry about it too much, especially Levi. Levi and Sonny definitely rub each other the wrong way, but so much of that is because they both feel a draw to the other...a draw neither wants. Watching their relationship change and become more was good. Levi doesn't have an easy life and he's dealing with pressures from all over. Sonny has his own stuff going on. As the reader, you can see it, but it's never truly revealed, so it really left me curious about him. He's definitely a character that you don't get to know as well as you did Levi.

This is the first book in the series and while it's set up with some interesting characters and premise, I hope the series is just going to follow Levi and Sonny. I fell in love with these two characters and definitely want to see where they go from here. It was a great start!
