Story Overview:
Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

My Review:
This book...OMG! I understand now why this book has garnered such amazing reviews. It was so good and the entire feel of the book had such an honest, fun, entertaining voice. I loved it!

This book is about Drew. It's told entirely from Drew's POV and he talks directly to the reader...a LOT. (I love books that are written this way!) Drew is undeniably a jerk. He's that guy...super-confident, super-successful, super-sexy. He uses women with no intention of anything other than getting in their pants. He's fully aware of this and doesn't apologize for it. He doesn't set out to hurt anyone...they are all fully aware of the way he is. That's just a fact of his life. He's the ultimate playboy.

The book starts though with him living in a pit of despair....the flu as he likes to call it, but it's really a broken heart. And then he takes you through the history that dropped him to that level. The history with Kate, the new girl at the office...engaged, sexy, smart...his equal on all levels and the girl who keeps turning him down for the man she's been with for ten years. He's a bit obsessed with her.

This book is about how he becomes human and falls in love with a girl for the first time in his entire life. It's told with snark and humor and I can't tell you how many times I laughed out loud. This is a book that I wanted to read with a friend just so I could read passages out loud to them (hubby got tired of it after a while.) Everything about this book was good. I liked Drew's relationship with all his friends and family. It's an interesting crew from his sister to his niece to his guy friends and even his secretary. Drew has an interesting viewpoint on the world and all the people in his life.

This is the beginning of a series and it will be interesting to see if the author can keep the same humor and entertainment value as she moves to other characters. Because I find it hard to believe that anyone can be as entertaining as Drew. I loved him and his voice. Everyone should read this book for a fun, simply light-hearted day of entertaining reading.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Now I really need to move this up on the TBR. I also love books from this POV, so I can't wait to dive in!

It will be interesting to see if the author can keep this up. I was very impressed by this one! I am not sure I will read the next book though (as it's from Kate's POV and it seems to be about a rough patch, c/o her - and I am not a fan of authors messing up contemporary romance HEA's that way) but I will for sure pick up book 3. This was refreshing even though nothing about it was new. The author's voice did it for me.
Nice review :)
