Story Overview:
Sometimes, to see the eyes of your greatest enemy, you need to look into a mirror.

In this final chapter of Mitch and Eden's story, everyone will be tested. Morality and honor weighed against getting the job done. But desperation can make people do things they never thought they’d be capable of. And returning from hell is a pretty damn big wake-up call, especially once Mitch realizes that the woman he loves has been in a different kind of hell…and she can’t get out of it.

*** STRANGE CASE is the conclusion of Mitch and Eden’s story and may prove confusing to those who haven’t read the first two books. This novel is intended for adults. It includes lots of cursing, biting sarcasm, descriptive sex, and some seriously bad team morale.

Other books in this trilogy:
Hyde, an Urban Fantasy (Book I)
Jekyll, an Urban Fantasy (Book II)

Dear reader,
Although Strange Case marks the end of this trilogy, it isn't the end of the Hyde world. Thank you for your support and for taking a risk on a series that can be crude and cruel but is, at its core, a love story.

Go to my website and sign up for my newsletter to receive an announcement when the book is available, as well as a deleted scene between Mitch and Eden (it's a dramatic one btw)

My Review:
I've loved this series....wow, just wow. Everything about it has been incredibly creative and incredibly well-written. This is a trilogy and you absolutely need to read all three books to get the full effect of the story. You can see my reviews of the first two books here:
1. Hyde (A-)
2. Jekyll (A+)

I'll admit, I probably should have re-read the other two books before picking up this one. This is a complex series with a lot of characters and events happening, so I highly recommend reading the series back-to-back. As a result of not doing that (and reading while traveling all over the country) I spent a good deal of this book just a bit lost and feeling like I needed to catch up somewhere on what exactly was going on. With that being said though, I still thoroughly enjoyed the book.

My favorite part remains the totally dysfunctional, funny friendship that has developed between Landon and Mitch. In this book that love between them is even more up-front especially with Landon...*gah* this guy will sacrifice everything for his friends and you can't help but love his character for that. The sarcasm and wit between the two of them and simply in both of their heads keeps a book that could easily become too heavy, still readable and completely enjoyable.

This book also goes to new levels with Eden as she's faced with the challenge of keeping her own humanity and ability to maintain decency in the face of pure evil. There is a fine line with all these characters as they fight against the evil within and the huge amounts of evil coming at them from others too. It's easy to lose that humanity and Lauren Stewart does an amazing job of showing the struggle with that.

The ending is fantastic and I adore Eden and Mitch together and what they do for each other. From the very first book, I've loved their characters and their story and that's grown each book. The final three chapters in the book sum up why, as a reader, I love them so much. Faced with incredible obstacles, they are so good together and that leaps off the page over and over again. I love their HEA!

Overall, it's been a really fantastic series that has an incredibly creative story. And the best news is....it's not really done. Mitch and Eden's portion is pretty much over, but there is an introduction of a new team at the end of the story that is being led by "Fox"....oooh, I am so intrigued by him and where the rest of the story goes from here. LOVE that the ride isn't over yet. Now I'm just waiting for the next chapter/book!! Yippeee....write Lauren Stewart, write!!!
