Story Overview:
She wants a fling, and he wants forever…

Zoologist Sara Carmichael’s active social life is the envy of all her friends, but she has a secret. She’s bored senseless. If she has to go to one more bird sanctuary fundraiser with some guy who thinks his little sports car makes him “hip,” she'll scream.

Enter Brad O’Halloran, her best friend Kim’s much younger brother. A guy who’s picking up the pieces after a quickie marriage and even quicker divorce. A guy so hot he makes her body scream with frustration.

Until Sara’s apartment is renovated, they’re all living at Kim’s place. Despite her determination to not to salivate at glimpses of Brad’s finer-than-fine body in nothing but a low-slung towel, flirtation escalates to the brink of something more.

Now one of them has to back down…or ante up for some good, dirty fun with the unspoken understanding that when the time comes, they’ll make a clean break. Neither anticipated they’d make the most complicated connection of all—love.

Warning: This book contains a hero who knows how to make engines— and women—purr, seduction while on cold meds, and a heroine who might be a little older but still enjoys learning a few naughty new tricks.

My Review:
This book was just flat out fun and sexy and I truly loved it!

Sara is 42 years old. She's moved in temporarily with her best friend Kim and Kim's extremely sexy younger brother, Brad, who's just coming off a divorce after an extremely short marriage.  Brad isn't even 30 yet and he has the reputation of being a player. Two major strikes against him in Sara's book, even though she really wants in his pants. BUT she's a professional and has to think about that so she's determined to resist him. Something that Brad is REALLY NOT on board with...he wants Sara and isn't being real subtle about it.

Okay, I'll admit that I love a good cougar story, but that was not why I loved this book so much. I loved this book because of Brad. Aw, I seriously fell in love with this character. He's sweet and sexy and oh-so-charming. He really wants Sara and really likes her, even when she hurts him over and over again. Sara has a hard time taking him seriously...because of their age difference and his reputation. She thinks that he's just killing time with her and acts accordingly to protect her heart.

Seriously, this book was so good. Sara and Brad are sizzling together. This is one hot little book and you can feel the heat from their chemistry rise off the page....even when they are taking turns being sick. I loved that little twist to the story because both characters at some point during the book are really sick. It allowed them to be so much more to each other that just someone sexy to play with. I think that little aspect just deepened their relationship all the more. They start out in the book as friends, then move to lovers and then more. It was a great transition over a short period of time, but everything about the story worked for me!

I've already added this book into my Kindle collection to re-read again. It's definitely a favorite when I'm ready for some smexy entertaining fun!
