Story Overview:
Sometimes the best place to find love is right back where you started…

Falling asleep in a different bed every night has made it easy for Cain Black to forget his past. It’s been ten years since he packed his guitar and left Crystal Lake to chase his dreams. Now tragedy has forced him home again. And though Cain relishes the freedom of the road, one stolen moment with Maggie O’Rourke makes him wonder if he’s missing out on something bigger than fame.

For Maggie—single mother and newly settled in Crystal Lake—love is a luxury she just can’t afford. Sure, she appreciates the tall, dark and handsome looks of prodigal son Cain Black. But how long can she expect the notorious hellion to stay?

The last thing either of them wants is something complicated. But sometimes love has its own plans.

My Review:
They grew up as the Bad Boys of Crystal Lake: twins, Jesse and Jack, Mac, and Cain. Now they've all returned to bury Jesse after he was KIA in Afghanistan and the three other boys are floundering to deal with that loss and where they are all at in life. None of them planned to truly stay home for more than the weekend to bury him, but none of them managed to leave afterwards.

Jack is reeling after the death of his twin, trying to care for his widow, a woman he obviously has more than brotherly feelings for.

Mac has his own scars. He's drinking too much trying to drown his sorrows from the past. All three of these guys are wounded, but to me, he seemed the worst off.

Then there's Cain...the bad boy rocker. His band is right on the verge of making it big, but he's just gone through a divorce and found out that his bandmate, good friend, and co-writer for all his music slept with his wife. Some things you just don't forgive and for Cain, this is one of them. Now he doesn't know where to go with his music and his band.

And that's just the Bad Boys. We haven't even talked about the heroine in this book, Maggie. She's a single mom and housecleaner for most of the town. She obviously has secrets, but I liked her and her son Michael. Their's was a really good story.

I really, truly enjoyed this book. It set up a great series and I can't wait for Jack and Mac's books. I loved all the characters and the story line. I loved that Cain is a rocker with a true love for his music. I like how lost he felt by being back at home. i loved how he automatically connected with Michael and Maggie....it wasn't all about their incredible chemistry although I will admit that I loved the way Juliana Stone wrote their interactions...seriously hot. I liked that there was a bit of mystery about Maggie and what she's running from. It wasn't a surprise when it came out, but it still worked for me. I even really loved the character that was this small town of Crystal Cove. Honestly, it was a great book and I look forward to reading the next two in the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
