Being the financial caretaker for her deadbeat parents isn’t the life professional organizer Sterling Andrews dreamed of. Tired of being the dependable—and boring—daughter, Sterling decides to have a little fun. And what could be more fun than seducing rich bad boy chef, Jack Vaughn? Except, after one scintillating night together, Sterling’s not only lusting for Jack, she’s working for him. And remaining professional becomes harder every day.
Already a major success thanks to his exclusive restaurants, Jack Vaughn is looking for something more. Ultra responsible Sterling is unlike anyone Jack has met…but she’s his employee. Unwilling to give her up, Jack makes Sterling an offer she can’t refuse—for four sexy weekends, he’ll indulge her most wicked fantasies with no professional strings attached. But will mixing business with pleasure spell disaster? Or will they find the recipe for satisfaction?
This is a hot, sexy little book with some interesting characters. I love the set up for this series. Four teenage boys in foster care were taken in by a single, well-to-do lady who gave them a purpose in life. She taught them all to cook and urged them to pursue various cooking careers. At the start of this book, she died two months before from cancer. The four boys who have become extremely successful in their cooking ventures (which include cooking schools for troubled teens) are reeling from her death. The black sheep among the boys is Jack. He's the one of the four who left home to pursue his own dreams rather than the dreams of the group, although he is still involved with the group's ventures...he just normally does it via long-distance.
Sterling's best friend, Penn, works for the Madewood brothers and she drags Sterling along to one of their benefits where she meets Jack. They have an immediate attraction and are both looking to burn off a little mutual, no-strings attached, satisfaction. Things are explosive between them when it comes to their chemistry. But they both have issues....Jack is tired of being seen as only a sexy playboy wallet, and Sterling is in trouble financially because of her irresponsible parents. Not a good combination.
Sterling is also a professional organizer so Jack hires her to organize their foster mother's things because the four men are so overwhelmed by the prospect. She works on his mother's house during her free time during the week, but Jack wants her free time on the weekends.
Like I said, I really love the set-up for the series and am already looking forward to the brother's stories. For this particular book, I enjoyed the chemistry between the two a LOT and I really liked both their characters. I had just a small issue with the way that Jack was presented. He's really freaked out about the possibility of a woman dating him for his money and I felt that a couple of his reactions were just too over-the-top to be believable. Those two events were really my only issue with the book though. I enjoyed reading it a lot and the smexy scenes were FABULOUS!
Like I said, I can't wait to read more from this series. Already the contention between Cole and Penn is setting up for a great book for them!
I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
