Story Overview:
Eve desperately needed to find Christmas magic to help get her through the holidays. Noel needed to fill the cavernous, lonely void in his heart.

Decked out in her sexiest holiday finest, Eve strolled into Noel’s life more unsure of herself than ever, yet determined to find joy for Christmas. Noel was having trouble learning to live ardently again, but one look at Eve roused his dormant masculine desires.

When they met, their smoldering chemistry thawed the frosty passions lying latent within each of them. But, can love really happen when two strangers meet by chance? Or is it only a momentary seasonal gift? Noel must help Eve destroy the bitter remnants of her past, while opening himself up to adoration once more. Finding a creative way they can both release their doubts and welcome this heartfelt new opportunity will be pivotal for their love in Eve’s First Noel.

My Review:
For these two characters, this is their first Christmas alone since they lost their significant others. As a result, they are both looking for something to fill the empty void and end up finding each other.

There are a few issues with this book, but at its heart is a really lovely story. My heart ached for both of these characters. Noel is filled with guilt and grief after his wife died. Eve is wondering how to move on after the divorce is finalized with her husband. Together, they make a connection in a hotel restaurant that takes them both by surprise.

This was a quick read. The story starts during Christmas and ends on Valentines. I liked the fact that, although they jump right into their relationship, these two seem to be taking their time to get to know each other. Finally, all their secrets come out in the end to make a good push for that HEA. I liked that pacing. It was a bit unexpected with the quick hook-up. I also really liked the premise. The holidays can be so hard for some. I think that this would touch an emotional spot for a lot of people. And the best thing....if you are stretched for time this holiday season, but need a hot little romantic fix, this one will work well for you. It's only 40 pages....

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
