Story Overview:
You call this a mission?
Yeah, ex-Army Ranger and Taylor Securities operative Billy Tripp screwed up. So instead of being assigned to a dangerous international mission, he's sent to babysit a pricey necklace at a trendy South Beach hotel. The only bright side to the assignment is working with the manager, smoking-hot hotel heiress Kristen Dante.
Kristen's worked hard to build her father's Miami hotel into a jet-set destination. She's confident in business but not so much with men. What could a sexy guy like Billy want with her when he could have someone like her beautiful, party-girl sister?
There's a reason Billy's known as Mr. Relentless. He doesn't give up. Not on a job, or on the woman he wants. So when three luxury cars go missing from the hotel's lot, Billy sets out to find the thief. Suddenly, he has a case with the risks he thrives on. But when his investigation leads to Kristen being threatened, the real danger is losing his heart.

My Review:
Adrienne creates the most interesting and unusual heroes. This book is about Billy. Billy has ADD and admittedly has absolutely NO FILTER between his brain and his mouth. He's aware of this and has worked his entire life to control it, but his life has been a bit too crazy lately and he's having a hard time keeping his mouth closed and it's getting him in trouble. That's why Vic has sent him down to Florida to do an easy job, but Billy has a hard time staying out of things.

Then there's Kristen. She's running a huge successful hotel for her father and designing other hotels for him all over the world. She's incredible, but has body issues. She's healthy and built like a woman, unlike her sister who looks like a model, but also has the lifestyle of one too. She has extreme body hang-ups and refuses to let Billy, with his perfectly toned body, get anywhere close to her.

I'll admit, there were times throughout this book that both of these characters drove me crazy. They're flawed characters, but that's also part of the reason that I fell in love with them. They have true human traits that make you root for them. Adrienne creates wonderful characters like this, but be warned...they aren't for everyone. Personally, I love them, but even in this book, it took me until about the 15%-20% mark before I fell in love with Billy. Give it time and you will start to find him endearing.

For me, I just wanted to hug Billy so many times throughout this book. He's having issues because it's been an incredibly stressful year for him at Taylor Securities. He says things that are hurtful, but they are always honest....and the bad thing is, he's paid a high price for that honesty. One of his friends sent him to the hospital for 3 days in the past year by beating him senseless. That section of his brain just doesn't work and the more stressed he is, the worse it gets. But when it comes to him and Kristen, it works. She needs that flat-out honesty that he can't hold back. He wants her and finds her incredibly sexy and he tells her that over and over. She's also understands him because Jess, her sister, has the same type of issue. They work together and work together really well.

In the end, I loved this book and completely and totally fell in love with Billy. He adores Kristen and they are so good together. They work and that makes this a wonderful book! Another great addition to this series!

I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
