Story Overview:
Beach volleyball player Sam Waterson knows he made a mistake--a really big one--three years ago when paparazzi interrupted his jubilant celebration with sexy Carlos Delacruz, the love of Sam's life, and with their ménage partner Drew Eversly...and Sam blamed the public exposure on the wrong man. But fate has given him a second chance to prove his prowess on the sun-baked beach volleyball court and at loving the sensual man who has unknowingly held his heart. Can he--or Carlos or Drew--win a spot on the team? But even beyond sweating it out on the court and regaining the spot they had to forfeit three years ago, can Sam win back Carlos's heart? Sam needs to show Carlos that he can spike and score where it counts...between the sheets.

My Review:

At just under 15,000 words, this is a short little erotic read about three hopeful Olympic beach volleyball players. Three years ago, they were on the verge of making the American team when the three of them were caught in a compromising position. This book is told entirely from Sam's POV. He's to blame for what happened 3 years ago because he thought he could trust one of the other guys. Instead that guy outed them to the press. BUT Sam didn't realize that. He thought Carlos was to blame for their exposure and reacted accordingly...in other words, he screwed things up bigtime especially since he was in the process of falling in love with Carlos.

Now the three of them are back together, again trying out for the team, and again heating things up off the court too. This is a fantastically sexy little book. There's not a whole lot of depth to the story...it covers two days, but there was enough there to make it an entertaining read. It's fun to read in prep of the summer Olympics coming up in just another week. I know that for myself, I'm definitely going to be watching the men's beach volleyball with a completely renewed interest. YUM!

I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
