In this sexy new Star Harbor romance series, featuring the too-tempting Grayson brothers, a celebrity chef turns up the heat for a local café owner—and things start to sizzle.
Lexie Meyers decides there’s nothing sweeter than watching Sebastian Grayson’s perfect, wicked mouth devour her coconut cake. He’s hot, he’s hungry, and he’s sizing her up like she’s the best thing on the menu. But she’s been burned in the past and flings just aren’t her thing. Too bad Sebastian can’t resist a challenge.
Worldly, famous, and notorious with the ladies, Seb had planned a weekend of fishing and relaxation with his brothers. Until Lexie, with her kissable lips and frosty “get lost” attitude, makes him want to forget his culinary empire and create some magic with her. After he fires up his charm—including challenging her to a televised cook-off to break through her resistance—it’s now hotter in the bedroom than it is in the kitchen and Lexie isn’t sure whether she’s lost her mind . . . or just her heart.
I enjoy books with a cooking theme....let's face it, there's nothing sexier than a hot guy in the kitchen cooking. This book features two chefs: the hero, Seb, and heroine, Lexie, and introduces us to a family of four extremely hot brothers who all call this small town of Star Harbor home.
First let's talk about Sebastion. He's tattooed, he drives a hot motorcycle, he has his own television show, and he owns one of the hottest restaurants in NYC. He's a pretty hot commodity and is plenty aware of that. He's used to women dropping at his feet so when Lexie doesn't, well then it's 'game on' for this bad boy.
Lexie owns a little restaurant which specializes in breakfast and brunch. Her personal specialty is her coconut cake. She's less than impressed by Seb. She's gotten involved with a bad boy before and that didn't end well for her so she's learned her lesson to stay far, far away.
Then there are the other three brothers...oh my! Theo, Seb's twin brother and best-selling novelist. Clay, the town sheriff who used to own the title of the town bad boy. Then Val, the quiet DEA agent. *sigh* This series is shaping up for some really fabulous books in the future.
Overall, this book was an okay read. There were moments when it was really entertaining, but I found myself skimming other sections...never a good sign. It's a fun premise with a bit of a suspense story line thrown in to add some excitement. I admit to being a bit disappointed with the way that the first part of the suspense story line was tied up. Overall, it wasn't the best thing I've read this year, but I am definitely keeping this author on my radar because I do like all these hot brothers!
I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review.
