My Review:
When we met Cynthia in A Little Harmless Sex, she was a meek little thing bowing to the pressures from her father. Wow, what a difference a book can make...and the loving from the right guy.

Chris & Cynthia met at Max & Anna's wedding (couple from ALHS) and after a night of pleasure where Cynthia took complete control, she is coming into her own person. Chris has been a part of the BDSM scene, but has abandoned it after feeling restless and unfulfilled about it all. When he meets Cynthia, he sees a soulmate with the same sexual preferences as him...she just doesn't realize it yet. As Chris initiates Cynthia into the BDSM world, we suddenly see her start to blossom and become more comfortable in her own skin. It's a gorgeous transformation both inside and out watching her become more self-confident.

Cynthia's character made this book for me. It takes real courage to do all that she does in this book and change her world and definition of herself so dramatically. She attacks a new life with everything that she is knowing that she could very well get hurt. It's an inspiring thing to read and watch throughout the book.

I also really like the setting in this book. I don't know much about Hawaii so it was fun to learn a little about the traditions and phrases from there...and I always am a sucker for a great ambience in a book. Also, the fact that Chris owns and runs a restaurant where a lot of the book took place- a huge plus for the novel for me. I love restaurant settings.

As with every Harmless book, this one is really very HOT! The scene with Chris, Cynthia and Evan at the end...WOW...sizzling! It was also interesting to learn about the BDSM world through Cynthia's eyes.

I liked Chris and Cynthia together. They make a fantastic couple and I look forward to seeing more of them in the future books in this wonderful series!

Ooo I like it too when a book takes place somewhere I haven't been and the author works in some of the culture into the story. Zoe Archer did that in her Blades of the Rose books. :)
