Story Overview:
Sinners’ lead singer, Sed, had his heart shredded when Jessica left him to pursue her dreams,so when she dances her way back into his life, he's not sure he's ready for her brand of pain, or pleasure, again.

When she convinces Sed to engage in a benefits with benefits relationship, things seem to be going his way, until one of his fans catches their explicit public display of affection on film and posts it all over the internet.

Will Jessica ever trust Sed again? And has Sed become the man of Jessica’s dreams or is he just posing to get what he wants?

My Review:
We caught a glimpse of Sed's heartbreak over Jessica in the first novel, Backstage Pass. All that we knew then was that she shattered his heart, but not surprisingly, there is more to this story. See Sed is an alpha- he's an alpha with a heart of gold, but he's still an alpha which means that he automatically knows that his plan is the best one, whether it actually is or not. That's what happened with Jessica. He told her that she could do it his way or not at all so she broke off their engagement. That was 2 years and they haven't seen each other since, but neither one of them has recovered from the heartbreak of their break-up.

Unfortunately, that aspect of the story line was drug out just for a little too long in this book. It made the characters in this book  seem younger than they actually were because neither one of them were mature enough to realize that they both really care for each other and simply need to talk honestly. That, and the totally random, absolutely everywhere, uninhibited sex that seemed non-stop throughout this book. Normally, I don't mind a lot of hot sex scenes, but the frequency in this book seemed over the top.

There were some great aspects to this book...Hello, Sinners! I love the guys and there were some twists to the band's story line in this book that I loved. It will be interesting to see if there are any far-reaching effects from these events in the future books- I am thinking that there definitely will be.

You know, this is the problem with having such an amazing first book in a series...it's hard to live up to that quality for book after book. This one didn't quite make it, but it still is a great book and was highly entertaining. Bring on Jace's book! BDSM...yeah, it's gonna be good!

I didn't gel as much with this book either, but I still enjoyed it because of the guys. Especially Jace. ZOMG in this book, he is so freakin' adorable! I can't wait for his book!!!

I think sometimes with series there is a 2nd book syndrome but you still need to read it so that you have the full story :)

I have the first book and it will be part of my summer fun reads!

Yep...same reaction as everyone else. The first book had raving reviews and the second book, while yes it was good, feel pretty short. :-( Oh well, I'll still read it and then be waiting (like everyone else) for the third book in the series. :-)
